Attorney Synthia Kucner has 15 years of legal experience acquired in her various practice areas. Most recently, she served as as an equal employment opportunity (EEO) contract lawyer for the United States Department of Agriculture. Based out of Washington, D.C., Synthia Kucner was responsible for reviewing reports on investigations and drafting final decisions for the USDA on the results of those investigations.Synthia Kucner began her legal career as an associate at Hogan & Hartson, LLP, where she worked in in the areas of education, labor and employment, and litigation. She continued her career in education-related law at Anne Arundel County Public Schools as staff counsel to the superintendent and the administrative staff. During her time in that position, she handled all legal issues in-house on a daily basis, including cases related to student rights, curriculum and instruction, and legislative issues. She also negotiated contracts with four bargaining units and led administrators in their in-service legal training.
